Fandom, it is a bitch…

Dear Internet fan-persons,

Please stop being whiny, unpleasable little children. Grow up, understand that stuff isn’t made just for you and that you’re not the authority on what’s good, what’s best or that you have a clue what you’re talking about.

To the “professional news sites”, please be more professional. Be more positive and instead of whining about why there’s so much crap, promote the good stuff. “Editors” actually edit, and do more than take the high-profile reviews and exclusives for yourself. And for God’s sake, actually give the readers something other than snippets of what every other site is saying. The only difference between you and the fan-persons is somehow you’re getting paid for saying that same thing.

To all the “good ones” out there doing the good work, and having to deal with everyone else’s bullshit; know that you have fans, that are more likely the silent majority, because we just don’t want to have to put up with the douches that tend to post on forums and talkback threads and chat rooms. So, don’t be disheartened.

And to the silent majority, for heaven’s sake (cuz, it’s bigger than God, right..) speak up. Maybe not in the dreaded places of “those other people”, but respond on Twitter accounts, through email or if possible voicemail. Let these poor souls that are in the trenches everyday know how you feel.
