In comic books, trailers on March 25, 2010 at 10:00 am

Being a recovering comic book geek (no money, means no new comics), I feel it necessary to report on all comic book movies that look awesome. So far that has really only lead to me posting two articles on IRON MAN 2 and it’s amazing trailers. Well, having neglected my duties in covering the pretty great looking KICK ASS (opening April 16, I believe), I now have to make up that mistake by bringing you the trailer for SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD.

Based on the graphic novel series by Bryan Lee O’Malley, about a character (can you guess his name?) who falls in love with a girl, but before they can be together (forever?) he has to fight – and defeat – her seven evil exes! Bringing the movie to life is Edgar Wright, that amazing filmmaker who has bestowed upon the world, the fantastic HOT FUZZ and the also quite fun (can you tell I don’t like it as much?) SHAUN OF THE DEAD.

What looks to be in the trailer, a pretty amazingly close adaptation of a comic book; this trailer looks amazing. So amazing in fact, I’m not going to even try and embed a trailer, and instead insist that you go to the Apple site, download it in HD (the 720p is a nice size for people without large monitors) and watch it full screen. It’s brutal, awesome, and yes, even epic.

Trailer is available, there: (Apple Trailers)

But, just so you don’t feel ripped off, here’s an awesome screencap of the seven evil exes – this might be a spoiler. So, I’m going to break format and include a break in the post!! (Shocking, I know!!)
